Timmy Hansen wins the Logitech G World RX in Pirineus-Barcelona 2030
The Swede obtained the first victory of the season after a highly contested final with Johan Kristoffersson, who finished second.

The surprise has jumped at the Logitech G World RX in Pirineus-Barcelona 2030. After the morning dominance of the current world leader, Johan Kristoffersson, Timmy Hansen has obtained his first victory of the season in a final to remember. His brother Kevin Hansen has completed the podium in a Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya orphaned from the heat of the public by Covid-19.

Kristoffersson, who has won all his races, had a scare in the second round of the day, when he almost overturned his car at the first corner of the circuit. The Swede has recovered from the incident and has won his career, but has not been able to prevail in the general classification of Q2, which has been won by Andreas Bakkerud. In Q3 it has obtained the victory, which together with that of Q1, has made it Top Qualifier. In second place was Timmy Hansen, followed by Andreas Bakkerud, who made his best performance this 2020.
The duel for the leadership of the World Cup
In the first semifinal of the Logitech G World RX in Pirineus-Barcelona 2030, Johan Kristoffersson dominated all six laps in an undeniable way, after a very tight start. In second place was Andreas Bakkerud and third was Mattias Ekström, who kept his chances of winning the final alive to prevent Kristoffersson from further escaping the World Cup.
The three other drawers in the final have been decided in the second semi-final, where Timmy Hansen prevailed. Behind came his brother Kevin Hansen, and in third position Niclas Grönholm.

After the dominance of Kristoffersson in the first semi-final and Timmy Hansen in the second, the two best drivers of the afternoon met in the grand final. The start was quite bumpy as Kristoffersson lost part of his nose, finishing without a bumper on the last lap. Timmy Hansen pushed and managed to overtake the world leader in the last lap, when he did the Joker Lap. “It was an incredible day, a perfect combination for us, finishing both on the podium and getting the victory is spectacular. Super 1600 debut this season
The Super 1600 category, framed within the Euro RX, has contested its first round of 2020 at the Logitech G World RX in Pirineus-Barcelona 2030. In the European category of rallycross, it has competed in the same format as that of World RX, and Gergely Marton took maximum points in the qualifying sessions. The Volland Racing KFT rider beat Marius Bermingrud and Yuri Belevskiy.
The 12 best times have met in the two semi-finals. In the first, Gergely Marton has maintained the trend throughout the morning and has prevailed over Marius Bermingrud and Artur Egorov. In the second semi-final, Yuri Belevskiy took the victory, ahead of Rasmus Tominem and Joao Ribeiro. The fight will continue tomorrow with the eighth round of the world rallycross, the Logitech G World RX de Catalunya, starting at 9:30 in the morning from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Kristoffersson will try to get the victory to continue expanding his leadership in the world championship, but neither Timmy Hansen nor the other drivers will make it easy for him.
