The best drift comes back to the CatalunyaRX.
The greatest kings of the drifting from spanish scene will meet for the second time at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 27 and 28 April as part of the activities of the CatalunyaRX 2019, the second round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship of the season.
All the pilots of this spectacular specialty will return with their powerful machines to demonstrate their drifting skills in the southern part of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya., More specifically in the area of the climb to the Moreneta in a scoring track formed by 3 curves. The CatalunyaRX will host the first (and only one in an active F1 circuit) test of the Spanish Open Slalom Drift Championship organized by Grup Speed and will be developed in its two main categories: Pro and Pro2.
Drivers from all corners of the country come together in a contest full of burnt rubber and adrenaline that left us speechless in its first edition in April 2018 and they open the doors of their paddock to be able to see close up real handmade jewels on wheels. Lots of HP, awesome bodies and impossible swaps define these cars.
Jesus Sanchez, David Barrera and Marc Baila completed the podium of the PRO category in its last edition, proving to be the Drift Kings of this event, which was very close since its qualifying session on Saturday. Three riders who are already preparing to defend that podium in April.
Drift has arrived at the CatalunyaRX to stay and this second edition promises and given the level of driving and car preparation that was seen last year, and is the perfect complement for the complete experience for our visitors.
