All set for the first edition of BarcelonaRX

This weekend the Catalunya-Barcelona Circuit will host for the first time in history a round of the FIA ​​World Championship Rallycross. Today we have submitted all the details of the appointment to give fans who come over on 19 and 20 September an exciting spectacle: the power of 600cv cars that complete the 0-100km / h in 1.9 seconds, faster than a Formula 1; sprint style races, contact and jumps.

The presentation of BarcelonaRX, which was held at the headquarters of the RACC, in  Barcelona, ​​was chaired by Ivan Tibau, Secretari General of Sport; Josep Mateu, president of RACC; Vicenç Aguilera, president of the Circuit de Catalunya Barcelona; Antoni Guil, mayor of Montmeló; and Marta Carranza, Commissioner d’Esports of Barcelona City Council, with the presence of other officials. We have accompanied the current leader of the FIA ​​World Championship Rallycross, Petter Solberg, and the Catalan pilot Laia Sanz who will participate in the RX Lites category.

Grandstand seat and paddock access

Over the weekend 42 Supercar drivers, 21 in Super1600 category, 12 in RX Lites and 20 more in Catalan Car Cross Championship will compete in 60 races. Roaring engines start at 9 am on Saturday and will be offering a great show until 6:30pm. On Sunday, last qualifiers, semi-finals and the final will be held, the activity in the circuit will begin at 8 am and end at 4pm. By that time we will know the first champion of the BarcelonaRX.
