2 months until the CatalunyaRX 2020.
Less and less time for the engines to roar again in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. For the sixth consecutive year, the FIA World Rallycross Championship will have its stop in Barcelona on April 18 and 19. This year, CatalunyaRX regains the prestige of being the first event of the Championship. Last year it was held in Abu Dhabi, at the Yas Marina circuit.
Throughout the weekend, there will be different races of the categories World Supercars Championship, the Euro Super1600 and the RX 2. In addition to these three official races, the CatalunyaRX will feature a demo of classics and groups B, the first test of the Spanish Drift Championship (Open Slalom Drift) and the second edition of the RX Stars, with prestigious local drivers.
More than a Rallycross race
To these spectacular races we must add the family and festive atmosphere that will be present in the circuit. Throughout the day there will be different activities to enjoy with family and friends to not be bored at any time including the Horse Power Festival. As always, the paddock will be open to the public, so attendees can approach to the cars and greet the drivers. In the event’s fan zone, there will be merchandising stores, a market with motor shops and foodtrucks.
Tickets for this 2020 edition are now available here and until February 29 can be purchased at a reduced price with the earlybird promotion (€ 30 adult weekend ticket, € 6-18 year old € 5 and € 180 VIP). As every year, in the months prior to CatalunyaRX there will be raffles and promotions that will be announced through social networks, so you should pay a lot of attention!
The FIA World Rallycross Championship will feature 11 races spread across four continents, starting in Barcelona and ending in South Africa on November this year. This year, is the first one that the race of Russia will be held, and the race in Germany will have a new track in the Nurburgring circuit.
